Description
The Ultrafast Group has developed state-of-the-art photon sources, and is combining these with integrated waveguide circuits written into silica chips, along with superconducting photodetectors and quantum memories. The successful applicant will be employed as an Experienced Researcher as part of the Marie Curie Initial Training Network PICQUE. They will oversee experiments on the strain-optic phase control of multi-photon quantum interference, supervise the work of one or more PhD students, and participate in funding applications.

Applicants should possess, (or be close to obtaining) a PhD in optical physics or a related field and ideally a strong background in quantum optics and quantum information. Previous experience in the field of integrated optics will be an advantage. Under the terms of the EC funding, to be eligible candidates must at the time of appointment be in possession of a PhD, or have at least four but not more than five years of full-time equivalent research experience.
You must not have resided or carried out your main activity in the UK for more than 12 months in the past 3 years.
